September was a month full of weekends away at family and friends’ weddings. First one was up in Northumberland on my Auntie’s farm to celebrate the wedding of John and Amy. It was a lovely family wedding and great to catch up with relations and friends I haven’t seen for ages. We stayed in Rothbury, had brunch at the Running Fox on Saturday before the wedding and spent some time on the Sunday in Barter Books in Alnwick - two of our favourite places in the world. We love Northumberland so much and it was so good to be back.
Then two weeks later, we were at a wedding in Scarborough to join the celebration with Iain and Lauren. It was a totally different wedding but equally as special. The venue for it was the vintage fair in Scarborough and was absolutely beautiful. On the Sunday we came back via Whitby. We haven’t been to Whitby in a while and it was nice to potter about, and walk up the 199 steps to the church and abbey. It’s a pretty darn good view from up there too.
This month sees me manically busy with my other love – and that’s music. Off to Kent for this coming weekend playing keys, and then playing keys at Durham Cathedral the weekend after. Its’ not every day you get to play in a beautiful and amazing venue. Really looking forward to it!
